First Communion
|
First Holy Communion for oru children takes place when parents decide that their child is ready to receive the Eucharist for the first time. This mostly takes place when children are in Year 3, but ca happen any time when parents decide their child is ready for this Sacrament. The involvement of parents in the preparation for First Communion is integral to the whole program and provides parents with an opportunity to refresh and re-commit to their own faith. (Pictured above, some of our Mothers at a preparation morning during the First Communion Program)
By way of preparation for First Holy Communion, our program includes a parents' reflection evening, three small group sessions with both parents and children, presentation of the children to our parish community at Commitment Masses and a reflection day for the whole group preparing to receive the Sacrament. Bookings will open from 7pm on the 13th June and close 7pm the 30th June. The link to the Trybooking is : https://www.trybooking.com/WHFT or https://www.trybooking.com391553 |
