Parish Pastoral Council 2019-21

Picture

Carmen Pelling - Secretary

I’ve been a member of the parish nine years along with my husband and three children. We find being part of the parish a blessing and love being a member of the community and Villa Maria School. I would love to give back to a place and people who have taught me so much also.

Marita Winters - Chair

I am a wife and mother and our family is committed to living our faith in this parish. It has been a privilege to have served as a member of the previous Council and I have grown a lot through the journey.

Rob Bailey

I have lived in the parish for over 10 years and am a parent of two beautiful boys who attend Villa Maria School. I enjoy being part of the community and hope to grow in that connection.

Our family has been involved in the parish for almost 20 years. My wife Liz and my two lovely daughters Ciara and Saoirse attend St Peter Chanel, being involved in various ministries and roles of assistance. From being a Eucharistic Minister and Reader, to supporting our altar servers, collectors and welcoming ministry. We are very fortunate to have raised our children in such a wonderful, warm and caring community.

I and my family have been part of the parish for almost 20 years. I have been practically engaged with the Church and Villa Maria School. My involvement has included over the years: Children’s Liturgy, leading the Altar Servers, on the Reading roster with my daughter Kate and ongoing support of many parish initiatives. I would be very appreciative to continue my journey with t parish as a member of the Parish Pastoral Council.

I have been a member of the Parish community for the past 8 years and during this time I have been involved and supported a number of different parish initiatives. I feel very lucky to be a part of such a wonderful community and that provides us with opportunity to give back and connect with others.

He first joined the Parish as a boy in 1981 and apart for a brief adventure to the inner west in his twenties has grown up and raised a family around the Parish.  He enjoys playing ukulele, eating ribs and discussing religion.

I am a good listener and feel lucky and blessed to be part of the parish and I am actively involved in the life of our parish school Villa Maria.

Bobby Mackun

As a parish member of Holy Name of Mary for almost 18 years, I am a regular attendee of the 10.00 am Mass and contribute my time to preparing and operating the Powerpoint slides during Mass. I occasionally assist with the selection of hymns and on a rare occasion also lend my voice to the choir and to the reading of the Scriptures
