Confirmation

Confirmation, one of the three Sacraments of Initiation into the Catholic Church is normally celebrated in our Archdiocese when children are in Year 6.  It provides an opportunity for our children as they start to mature, to re-commit to the faith their parents entrusted to them at the time of their baptism. Like each of our Sacramental programs, the time of Confirmation provides parents with an opportunity to refresh their own understanding and commitment to their own faith, and so parents play an integral role in the preparation of their children.

Our program includes a parents' reflection evening, three evenings with parents,  children and group leaders and a reflection day for the whole group together.

PARENT REFLECTION/INFORMATION EVENING

 PROGRAM
Session 1: Week beginning Monday, June 3rd. 
COMMITMENT MASS: Saturday June 1st or Sunday 2nd. Candidates are invited to attend any of the Parish Masses during this weekend, where they will formally commit to the program and be introduced to the parish community, who will keep them in prayer.
Session 1: Week beginning Monday June 3rd
Session 2: Week beginning Monday, June 10th
Session 3: Week beginning Monday, June 17th 
Retreat Day: Friday 21st June 9am-2.45pm
 NB: All sessions will take place online at home with parents accompany their child.
The Retreat Day will begin with Mass at Holy Name of Mary Church followed by a day of activities and reflection in the Parish Hall and grounds.
