Liturgy
The Liturgy Committee assists in the support and coordination of the liturgy and spiritual life of Holy Name of Mary parish. They look to assist and enhance liturgical celebrations to encourage full, mindful and active participation by the whole community. Members are also encouraged to continue their own liturgical formation and assist in preparing liturgical celebrations particularly leading up to major feast days eg Easter, Christmas, Parish Feast Days etc
The Liturgy Committee usually meets once per month and welcomes new members. If you would like to be involved in liturgical celebrations at Holy Name of Mary please contact Father Kevin or Sylvia at the Parish Office.

The Prayers of the Faithful are the united prayers voiced from the Congregation. They are based around the week’s liturgy as well as events in the news which affect our lives. To contribute to the Prayers of the Faithful please submit you prayer with contact details below??

As a rule, the intentions are for
a) the needs of the Church,
b) for public authorities and the salvation of the whole world,
c) for those burdened by any kind of difficulty or illness,
d) for those who have died
e) for the local community
The petitions should composed freely but be kept brief and to the point and should be restrained. They should express the prayer of the entire community. In addition these are prayers of appeal, not of thanksgiving.
