Grief Care and Support

"A friend who can be silent with me in a moment of despair or confusion,
who can face with me the reality of my powerlessness and touch my woundswith a gentle and tender hand"

Henri J.M.Nouwen
The members of our Grief Care and Support Group act as companions to families in the parish who have experienced the recent death of a family member. They receive training for this role and provide a gentle supporting presence for people in time of grief.  When possible, a member of the group will participate in the preparation and celebration of a person's funeral and continue contact with a family for as long as the family finds it helpful. Please reach out if you would like to connect with us.
