Parish Pastoral Council 2021-23

PARISH PASTORAL COUNCIL GUIDELINES
Picture

Lynne Lyons - Secretary

I have been involved in the parish for over 10 years.  I am part of the Readers Ministry and usually attend the 6pm Sunday night mass.  I would like to deepen my connection with the parish community and help find ways to further the mission of the parish in what are challenging times for the church.

Tom Roche - Chair

My name is Tom, my wife Sheridan and I have been members of the parish for over 30 years.  Our children attended Villa Maria primary school and we spread our mass attendance between St. Peter Chanel & Villa Maria.  I haven’t had a lot of time to devote to the parish until recently and I hope I can add my voice to others in the pastoral council in service of the parish.

Member of the parish community at St Peter Chanel for the past 10 years.  I work locally and have 4 grown children and am an old boy of St. Joseph’s college.

I was once part of the parish council of Our Lady Queen of Peace, Gladesville as president of the council.

Our family has been involved in the parish for almost 20 years. My wife Liz and my two lovely daughters Ciara and Saoirse attend St Peter Chanel, and are all involved in various ministries and roles of assistance.  I myself being a Eucharistic Minister and Reader, as well as supporting our altar servers, collectors and welcoming ministry. We are very fortunate to have raised our children in such a wonderful, warm and caring community.

Patricia Curtin - Vice Chair

I have been a member of the parish for almost 20 years.  I have been a member of the parish council and the experience was so rewarding that I feel inspired to seek re-election.  I have been involved in the Eucharistic liturgy & youth ministries and feel I still have a lot to offer to help Fr. Kevin and the community.

I have been part of Hunters Hill Parish for 9 years.  During my time at this parish I have been a part of the children’s liturgy team for 6 years.  At home I am raising 3 beautiful boys and I am also a teacher.  Prayer plays a significant role in my family’s life and feel that engaging in community is very important.

I’ve been in the parish for about 5 years & am part of the choir at St Peter Chanel where Linda & I attend mass.  We have both retired and looking forward to being more involved.  I’ve been on the pastoral council and the finance committees in previous parishes.  We’re also involved in marriage preparation for engaged couples.
